lyrics

Gravity spins me sweetly through the dust of collisions long ago.
Star clusters were dancing through our fields' ebb and flow.
My core froze the day that you red-shifted, backing away from me.
All my latent life forms now return to dormancy.

Chorus:
We're all of us, all the time, coming together
And falling, falling apart.
I guess it's tempting to try to plot the path,
But we're not rocks and who'd want to be one?

Orbits can be demanding, always waiting for things to come around.
Seems like several light years passed since we shared common ground.
They say we are ruled by forces unseen by the naked eye.
I say we have other sources; something we can't quantify.

Chorus

Unthinking, unfeeling - our histories already played out,
A scientific marble maze in the sky that we can learn about.
